Reviews and Opinions
A wide selection of granite to choose from, reasonable prices, staff was very helpful, friendly and efficient. We appreciated no one looking over our shoulder while trying to choose just the right granite for our kitchen. The installers did an excellent job, we couldn’t be happier. Looking forward to enjoying it for many years to come. They all went above & beyond to make our purchase a pleasant experience.
My husband and I walked into the showroom with no intention of buying countertops but just see what they had. Ben was so helpful and accommodating showing us the $1,999 special. Roman and Rachel made the whole process of picking and purchasing countertops so easy and they worked with us through it all. Thank you Roman and Rachel and Granite Depot for my beautiful new countertops.
I had a wonderful experience with Granite Depot. I actually worked with the Knoxville location, and both Kingsport locations and EVERYONE was wonderful–the installers too! I feel like I got a great product for a great price. Thanks to Roman and his team 🙂
WE want to thank you and everyone there. Our Kitchen is beautiful. It was above and beyond what we expected. We got a great product within our budget.
If you’re reading this to help make a decision to buy from GD. You wont be disappointed.
We were able to buy a beautiful marble countertop and it was in the price range that we were expecting. Service was great. The install went great. We truly love our countertops. Thank you!
Saw them at Chattanooga home show. Had another quote for my new home. And they came in 20% less in price and with quartz and marble instead of granite. Jessica was a professional and a pleasure to work with. Victor came out 150 miles to SC, measured. And returned on schedule to do an excellent install. High quality, professional craftsmen! I took a chance to save $2000. Dollars and I could not be happier!! Give them a chance you will not regret it!!
What are the quartz countertops pros?
Being one of the most popular stone materials used for kitchens in the US, quartz shares its dominating position on the market with granite only. The pros: stronger stone due to the 7% of polymer resins, ensuring its non-porous and almost 100% bacteria-free surface; the slope is customizable – you can choose the pattern you like, evidentiate some parts of the stone crumb and hide others; easy to maintain – unlike granite or marble – quartz countertops require just a basic cleaning and have a non-porous surface, making it impossible for bacteria to survive for a long time.
What is the difference between quartz countertops and granite?
Both stones have their pros and cons. Review their features to make a choice. Although quartz countertops are strong, durable, flexible, don’t need special maintenance and the color patterns are consistent among slabs, they have some weaknesses, such as low resistance to heat and prolonged exposure to the sun. In its turn, granite is 100% natural, thus unique and beautiful, much more resistant to chemicals than quartz and resistant to heat. You can easily put a hot pan on it, however we’d advise against doing so recurrently.
Can I cut food directly on a quartz countertop?
Quartz is a very tough and durable material, resistant to cuts and scratches unlike natural stone, so of course you can cut food on it, just don’t do this too often. We would still recommend to use a cutting board on your quartz countertops, especially when working with raw meat, to keep them looking perfect for as long as possible. The ability to resist scratches and slicing damage to the countertops doesn’t mean quartz countertops are damage-proof, nor that the marks can’t be seen at all.
Will my granite look like the online sample?
Granite is a natural stone, hence its color, tone, granularity, pattern and other variations are different at each slope. These emphasize the natural beauty of the stone. We use high-end photography and editing technologies to pick up the most suitable slabs, resembling the online images, but we suggest you look at the samples. They will give you a better idea of how your countertops will look like.
